Six Flags Magic Mountain Makes Management Change

Jay Thomas is leaving his position as park president of Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor for a position at the company’s corporate office in Dallas, the Valencia-based theme park announced. Bonnie Rabjohn is immediately replacing Thomas, who was named park president in September 2007 and has worked at other Six Flags theme parks in the past. He has about 22 years of experience working with theme parks and 15 years of experience in executive roles. Rabjohn most recently served as director of Worldwide Marketing for Warner Bros.’ Consumer Products division and was previously with Six Flags for more than 25 years in the areas of marketing, promotions, sales, communications and retail. “Bonnie is one of the strongest, most talented and aggressive park marketing people in the industry, and has a proven track record of success in the highly competitive Southern California market,” said Al Weber, chief operating officer of Six Flags, Inc. “We believe she is well-suited for the particular challenges of this park.” Rabjohn is from Southern California and has a degree in business and marketing from California State University, Northridge. She has lived in the Santa Clarita Valley for 16 years. “Having worked at Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor for many years, I look forward to ‘coming home’ and contributing to the park’s exciting future,” Rabjohn said.
