LAUSD Taps Valley Firm for Notification Services

The Los Angeles Unified School District contracted with the NTI Group Inc. to provide emergency notification to parents through e-mail, text messages and voice messages, the company announced. The Sherman Oaks-based firm will also use its Connect-ED service for regular attendance notifications and important school and district announcements. The Connect-ED service allows school administrators to increase their communication with the school community by sending messages in multiple languages to parents and staff members in minutes. “Effective communications during emergency situations is vital to student safety,” said NTI Chairman and CEO Robin Richards. The system can also be tailored to send messages to parents with children in specific grades or to parents of students participating in a particular sports team or club.
