A subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies has acquired an underwater electrical interconnection systems based in San Diego. Terms of the deal for the buy out of Impulse Enterprise by Teledyne Instruments Inc. were not disclosed. The acquisition is a step to expand the company’s line of sensors, communications devices and interconnect systems for the marine environment, said Robert Mehrabian, president and CEO of Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne. Impulse had sales of $16.8 million for its fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2006. When the acquisition is complete, the company operates under the name Teledyne Impulse.
