Artificial intelligence company Beyond Limits has signed on as a partner with a Houston consulting firm, the company announced.

The Glendale firm and Carnrite Group will provide consulting services on the state of artificial intelligence technologies and innovative use cases for its technology to Carnrite’s clients in the oil and gas, utilities, power and industrial sectors.

Additionally, Carnrite will receive licensing rights to Beyond Limits’ cognitive artificial intelligence technology to provide its clients with direct access to the company’s products.

Chief Executive AJ Abdallat said it was an exciting time for Beyond Limits to gain a valuable partner in Carnrite Group.

“Through Carnrite’s vast network, we hope to provide valuable guidance and increase awareness of the benefits of AI in critical sectors, including boosting operational insights, improving operating conditions, and ultimately, increase adoption of this next-generation technology,” Abdallat said in a statement.

Beyond Limits is commercializing AI software developed by NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Cañada-Flintridge. The software is used in deep space missions, including on the Mars rovers. The company has an exclusive license from the California Institute of Technology, which manages JPL, for the AI software that is primarily used in the energy, health care, finance and logistics industries.

Its products are a blend of technologies that, when applied to large data sets, parses through them in a way that is very similar to the human brain, but much more efficient, according to the company.

According to January report from BIS Research, a Fremont market intelligence firm, the global AI in energy market is expected to reach $7.78 billion by 2024.
