Sherman Oaks company Samaha Group wants to introduce a waste-to-energy technology to United States. The company has partnered with a German company that has developed a system to cheaply produce power from trash. It also would extend the life of landfills and produce fewer greenhouse gases. Kenn Phillips, who until recently was the chief executive of the Valley Economic Alliance, serves as the new chief operating officer for Samaha, and he’s looking for landfill space to set up the system.
