Cedars-Sinai Medical Center will unveil what it is calling its flagship medical offices in the San Fernando Valley this evening, with media tours and remarks from executives. The 40,000-square-foot facility at 18133 Ventura Blvd. in Tarzana marks the Los Angeles hospital’s further expansion in the Valley area. Last March, Cedars announced a joint venture with Providence St. Joseph Health to operate the Providence Tarzana Medical Center, just around the corner from the new medical offices. “Cedars-Sinai is building a diverse physician network and an array of medical offices throughout Southern California that provide primary care, urgent care, ambulatory surgery, imaging and specialty care,” Cedars said in a statement. “Along with Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center, the Tarzana medical offices will enhance the continuum of care that Cedars-Sinai offers patients throughout the San Fernando Valley.” The new Tarzana medical offices will feature a range of cancer care, including radiation oncology, medical oncology, an infusion center, surgical oncology and diagnostic imaging. Orthopedic specialists from the Kerlan-Jobe Institute from Cedars-Sinai’s Beverly Center campus will set up shop in the new Tarzana medical offices along with some primary care physicians. Thomas Priselac, chief executive of Cedars-Sinai; Dr. John Jenrette, vice president of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network, and Dr. Dan Theodorescu, director of Cedars-Sinai Cancer, are scheduled to speak at the event.
