Tech Suite Complete on Movie Sets

Entertainment Partners has acquired SyncOnSet Technologies, creator of collaboration and productivity tools for the entertainment production community. Financial terms of the deal between Entertainment Partners, in Burbank, and SyncOnSet, in Culver City, were not disclosed. Entertainment Partners offers production workforce management and automated production management sofware to the entertainment industry. Through its SmartStudio suite, it has pioneered the digitization of the back-office processes of film and television production. SyncOnSet provides cloud software and mobile technology to streamline on-set production workflows and track studio assets. Mark Goldstein, chief executive of Entertainment Partners, said the compay was thrilled to welcome the SyncOnSet staff and its products. “Their clear vision to replace production binders with collaborative, real-time technology with Crew Tools and to automate asset resolution tracking with Asset Hub fits perfectly with EP’s vision,” Goldstein said in a statement. “Both products have been widely embraced and will offer enhanced visibility to a wide range of crew and studio personnel. Together, this unification will deliver to our clients tomorrow’s vision for the cloud-based, real-time production world today.” Alexander LoVerde, co-founder and chief executive of SyncOnSet, said combining with Entertainment Partners is a great fit for the staff and a true win for its mututal client base. “With the combined resources of EP, we will be able to better support our users and have an even greater impact on the industry,” LoVerde said in a statement. Patrick Baca, chief technology officer of Entertainment Partners, added that the increased complexity and scale of global collaboration require tighter integration across technology products for productions. “SyncOnSet’s emphasis on efficiency and security align perfectly with our commitment to our clients and will accelerate the vision of both companies,” Baca said in a statement. “Integration of the SyncOnSet products into EP’s SmartStudio will provide a streamlined experience for asset management and production finance that will enable our clients to have greater control and faster decision-making.”
