Studio Tour For ‘Friends’ On Holiday

The Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood in Burbank is marking the 25th anniversary of the sitcom “Friends” with a special fan event in November that sold out within days of tickets going on sale. Additional dates were later made available which also quickly sold out. “Friendsgiving” features a “Friends”-focused 90-minute tour through the studio backlot to filming locations where the show took place, including Stage 24, now known as the “Friends” soundstage. Although set in New York City, “Friends” filmed entirely in Burbank. Guests on the tour will be able to walk onto the actual set of Central Perk, the coffeehouse the six friends – played by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer – hang out and sit on the orange couch and get an up-close look at original costumes worn by the cast. Studio tour Director of Marketing Gary Soloff said that 25 years after “Friends” premiered on NBC, it remains one of the most popular and asked-about shows on the tour. “With such a massive global following, we’re excited to bring fans together in the very place the show was filmed to enjoy and create new memories of the classic comedy this holiday season,” Soloff said in a statement. Other highlights of the tour include a stop at the fountain used in the show’s opening sequence. It was recently relocated to the studio lot from the Warner Bros. Ranch complex up Hollywood Way. At the conclusion of the “Friendsgiving” tour, guests will go to the studio commissary for a holiday-themed meal of turkey and ham with all the fixings. Vegan/gluten free options will be available, but whether Ross’ “Moist Maker” sandwich is on the menu is still being decided. One of the highest-rated shows on television in its original network run, “Friends” remains a perennial go-to in syndication and on streaming services, where it continues to be a smash hit.
