A Merger of Technology Consultants

Faye Business Systems Group has merged with Intelestream, a Chicago technology product development and consulting firm. The move by the Woodland Hills technology consulting and software company gives it a global presence and assembles one of the largest collections of customer relationship management and customer experience experts under one roof. David Faye, chief executive of Faye Business Systems, said he was excited about doing the transaction and the opportunities it will bring to both the employees and the customers they serve. “Because of this joint expertise, we can implement innovative and effective customer experience solutions to customers that will bring a lot of value to the marketplace,” Faye said. Faye and Intelestream founder and Chief Executive Jason Green have known each other for about four years. The merger came about when they were talking about what was missing from the CRM ecosystem was a global company that could address mid-market and enterprise size companies, Faye said. “Their corporate headquarters is in Chicago, but they have resources in Europe and South America and that was really appealing to us,” he added. “Our domestic resources were really appealing to them.” Intelestream ceased as a separate business as of Nov. 1. All its employees will remain with Faye Business Systems. “This merger was never about reducing headcount,” Faye said. “It was about one plus one equals three.” In doing these types of deals, there is concern and nervousness on the part of staffs in both organizations about people losing their jobs. But that was never part of the plan of this deal, Faye added. “The plan was to bring everyone together and we become greater than the sum of our parts,” he said. Both Faye and Intelestream are partners of SugarCRM, a software developer in Cupertino for the customer relationship sector. Faye in fact was the 2018 SugarCRM Global Reseller of the Year. The combination of the two companies now make it the number one Sugar partner in the world, Faye said. Jerry Straw, senior vice president of sales for the Americas at SugarCRM, said that the merger of the Faye and Intelestream unites two of the most well-respected partners in the world. “Their combined experience and skillset supporting, implementing and customizing Sugar solutions is a huge benefit to the Sugar ecosystem, especially with their ability to now effectively support global deployments,” Straw said in a statement.
