Film Rental Firm’s New Digs

Camera and lighting manufacturer Arri Inc. and its rental arm Arri Rental have relocated its West Coast facilities to a purpose-designed building in Burbank. The move to the facility at 3700 Vanowen St. took place in early March and gives each company its own space while sharing communal and creative spaces for the customer experience. Arri Chief Executive Glenn Kennel said that the move to a new home is all about further serving the creative community. “Our custom-designed building will allow us to engage with that community in new ways and showcase our industry-leading products and services,” Kennel said in a statement. “Having everything under one roof gives content creators and customers the best experience possible.” The space features offices, meeting rooms, social areas, test rooms and demo spaces that will facilitate face-to-face business dealings. Key to the new location are the Arri Creative Space and screening room. The creative space is a dressed shooting set for tests and workshops, fitted with state-of-the-art equipment. The screening room has 64 seats and features a 4K Christie DLP digital cinema projector with 7.1 surround sound. These resources, along with a kitchen and social areas, will allow more events, such as Arri Academy workshops, creative salons, Arri Cinema Club screenings and master classes with the American Society of Cinematographers. Arri Rental President Peter Crithary said the new facility allows the company to raise the bar. “Arri Rental offers exceptional value to our customers with leading technology including the ALEXA 65 (camera) and our exclusive selection of lens offerings,” Crithary said in a statement.
