The health care industry’s new trend is to serve patients near their homes, which has inspired Valley hospitals to build facilities that can meet market demands.

Current projects include Tarzana Reimagined, a $542 million seismic upgrade and expansion at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana and a $164 million patient tower at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia. The renovations and expansions reflect an outreach to both new families and an aging population in the Valley.
