Samsung will open a new experiential retail location in the Americana at Brand shopping center in Glendale on Wednesday, one of only three in the United States. Samsung Experience Stores, while celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the Samsung Galaxy phone, aims to introduce the newest products to consumers, including smartphones, tablets, wearables, televisions and SmartThings devices. The space features 4D virtual reality and a gaming lounge. “Our new Samsung Experience Stores are spaces to experience and see Samsung technology brought to life, to empower people to do what they never thought was possible before,” said Young Hoon Eom, chief executive for Samsung Electronics America in a statement. “We want to build a ‘playground’ for Samsung fans — a place to learn about and try out all of the amazing new products we have to offer.” Starting in March, the company will also begin a pop-up tour featuring similar interactive spaces. Other experiential stores opened in Garden City, N.Y. and Houston. The Americana at Brand is located at 889 Americana Way in Glendale.
