L.A. Developers to Build Mixed-Use Project in Valley Village

A pair of Los Angeles developers are constructing a contemporarily packaged mixed-use building in Valley Village featuring 19 apartments and ground-floor retail, Urbanize.LA reported. Hillock Land Co. and Luminor Properties are collaborating with architecture and design firm Brooks + Scarpa on Magnolia Hill, a three-story building that will include a combination of studio and one-bedroom units above 1,575 square feet of retail and 31 parking spaces, five guest parking spaces and 28 bicycle spaces. According to L.A. Department of City Planning records, the 21,008-square-foot development, which will see the demolition of an automotive facility, will rise on the southwest corner of Magnolia Boulevard and Colfax Avenue. Wynn Landscape Architects is designing the central courtyard and roof level deck that will comprise the common open space. Hillock and Luminor with Brooks + Scarpa have also been working on Camarillo Street in North Hollywood at 11301-11321 Camarillo St., a five-story contemporary structure delivering 60 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. Neither project has a firm timeline or completion date.
