Urban Fulfillment Services LLC is closing its Westlake Village operations, resulting in the elimination of 85 jobs. The layoffs are effective as of Dec. 3 at the facility located at 30870 Russell Ranch Road, according to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed with the California Employment Development Department on Oct. 15. Urban Fulfillment, in Highlands Ranch, Colo., provides mortgage processing and fulfillment services. The positions to be cut include financial analysts, credit risk analysts, financial associates and team leaders. Last year, Urban Fulfillment was acquired by HCL Technologies, an India-based information technology company. At the time of the acquisition, Urban Fulfillment Chief Executive Charles Sanders said the company was excited about joining HCL and “being part of such a capable and progressive company that will deliver the highest level of services to the industry.”
