Post-Production Firm Moves to Burbank

In a 10-year lease transaction, Eikon Group, a London-headquartered post-production company which did technical creative work on such tentpoles as “Blade Runner 2049” and “Spider Man: Homecoming,” will occupy 20,000 square feet of flex and office space at Burbank Media District-North, Colliers International announced on Monday. Colliers Executive Vice President Nico Vilgiate and Senior Associate Kyle Stanich, both based at the firm’s downtown Los Angeles office, sealed the deal with building owner SSV Properties. The transaction is valued at $8.1 million. The former Lockheed-Martin building is at 2777 N. Ontario St. near Hollywood-Burbank Airport. Built in 1968 and renovated in 2008, the class B, two-office edifice totals more than 132,000 square feet. SSV Properties and Eikon are working together to remove a portion of the mezzanine to create a state-of-the-art theater, Vilgiate said. “The project has transitioned from back-office space and an industrial vibe to a modern workplace with contemporary and move-in ready improvements.” Vilgiate told the Business Journal. The space the post-production company will occupy had been vacant since July 2016, when companies ending its tenancy at the building included T3 Media and Trioscopics.
