A catering company is shutting down its satellite office at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and laying off 26 employees after losing a contract at the facility.
North American Services Inc., which does business as Command Performance Catering, in Moorpark, notified its employees of the job losses that are effective Jan. 7, according to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notice filed with the state Employment Development Division last month.
Eliminated positions include 10 café and pub cashiers, three managers and a sous chef.
According to the Command Performance website, the company provides food service for corporate events in the library’s Annenberg Presidential Learning Center and the Air Force One Pavilion.
“Events at the Reagan Library have taken Command Performance to new levels of expertise – having served the First Lady, many heads of state, international presidents, dignitaries and several rounds of the official GOP Presidential Debates,” the website said.
Command Performance is still in business at 10 other locations in Ventura County and for private events.
