Leaders Appointed to AV Hospital Board

Antelope Valley Hospital Inc., a new nonprofit public benefit corporation established to increase community input over the operations of Antelope Valley Hospital, has finalized its board of directors with the appointment of three community leaders. Steve Baker, executive director of Grace Resources, a homelessness resource center in Lancaster; Regina Rossall, superintendent of the Antelope Valley’s Westside Union School District; and estate planning attorney Kevin Von Tungeln, president of Thompson Von Tungeln law firm, were named to the board on Monday. The board now has nine members, including the three appointed community leaders, the five elected officials that sit on district board and hospital Chief Executive Michael Wall. Antelope Valley Hospital Inc. was created by Measure H, a ballot measure passed last fall that restructured the governance of the hospital to include members of the community.
