ProVision Hires New CEO, Expands Board

Provision Holding, Inc. has hired Mark Leonard as its chief executive. The Chatsworth company, which manufactures and manages coupon-dispensing kiosks in shopping centers and stores, said the change in leadership would position the company for future growth. Curt Thornton, who has served as ProVision’s chief executive since 2008, will assume the role of chairman of the board and chief operating officer. Also, ProVision’s board will expand from three people to five. Leonard previously served as vice president of business development at InComm Inc., a prepaid and payment solution company. He also spent five years at Blackhawk Networks, a publicly traded company in the gift card and payment sector. “We are thrilled to welcome Mark to his new role,” Thornton said in a statement. “Mark brings the operational expertise and execution capability that is paramount to Provision’s future.” “Provision is at an inflection point in its history,” Leonard said in a statement. “Never has it been more important for brick-and-mortar retailers to integrate technology in-store to attract customers and to keep them coming back. … I look forward to working with the team to maximize current revenue opportunities, while helping to shape future applications for this validated technology platform.” Shares of ProVision (PRVO) closed down a fraction of a cent to 5.5 cents on the over-the-counter market.
