Ground Broken for Warner Center Apartment Complex

A 277-unit apartment complex broke ground Wednesday in the Warner Center neighborhood of Woodland Hills. McCormick Construction in Burbank is building the 426,000-square-foot transit-oriented project, estimated to cost nearly $60 million, at 6606 N. Variel Ave. with developer Evolution Strategic Partners of Studio City. To be called Evolution Warner Center, the complex will be about half a block from the Orange Line busway near Variel Avenue and Victory Boulevard. “This development is an exciting one for us as we have seen the continued growth and housing demand spike in this area,” said Michael McCormick, president of McCormick Construction, in a statement. “Evolution Warner Center will serve the growing needs of the community by providing convenience and accessibility, as well as extensive amenities that facilitate a sense of community and ease the stress of today’s busy lifestyles.” The complex’s units will range from studios to three-bedrooms, and it will include 309 parking spaces. The project is scheduled to finish by fall of 2019.
