Radio broadcaster Salem Media Group in Camarillo has renewed its contract with KRLA-AM and KTIE-AM personality Brian Whitman, co-host of The Morning Answer radio show in Los Angeles.
“For six years now Brian has been the anchor of our morning show in L.A., and we call him the glue because he holds everything together so well,” Salem Senior Vice President of Spoken Word Formats Phil Boyce said in a statement. Whitman’s “comedic impressions of top newsmakers” keep the show entertaining even in the midst of breaking news, Boyce added.
Whitman has hosted the conservative talk morning program since joining Salem in 2012. He previously anchored programs on KABC-AM and KLSX-AM in Los Angeles and WABC-AM in New York, according to the company.
Salem stock (SALM) rose 10 cents, or about 1.5 percent, to close at $6.70 on the Nasdaq.
