Outdoor ice skating has returned to Burbank for the 2017 holidays.

The Rink in Downtown Burbank opened Thursday for ice skating, curling, special performances and fundraising events through Jan 7. The Rink is located next to Burbank City Hall at the corner of Third Street and Orange Grove Avenue. It is run by portable rink company Ice-America.

Thursday’s opening included special performances by local skaters from Pickwick Ice, and guest appearances by Burbank Mayor Will Rogers and some City Council members.

“We really look forward to bringing the community together, and to offer families an activity to do together,” Azumi Williams, director for Ice-America, told the Business Journal.
