A new wave of Sears Holding Corp. closures will include a Kmart location in Valencia. The parent company of Sears and Kmart, which previously said it would shutter more than 330 locations by the end of the year, said Thursday that it will add 28 more to the chopping block, including four in California. The announcement was made in conjunction with Sears Holding’s release of its second-quarter earnings report, which disclosed sales declines of more than 11 percent at stores open for more than a year. The Valencia Kmart is located at 23222 W. Valencia Blvd. Eligible employees will receive severance pay and can apply to work at remaining Sears or Kmart locations, the company said.
