West Hills Hospital & Medical Center has appointed John Neidenbach as its new chief operating officer and vice president, the health care facility announced Wednesday.

Neidenbach began in his new role on April 17, coming from Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, where he served as associate chief operating officer since 2015. He holds a master’s degree in health administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia.

Both West Hills Hospital and Good Samaritan are owned by HCA in Nashville, Tenn. The company also owns Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center in Thousand Oaks.

“John brings additional energy to our management team at West Hills Hospital, as well as experience and best practices from other HCA facilities he has served,” West Hills Hospital Chief Executive Douglas Long said in a statement.

West Hills Hospital & Medical Center in West Hills is a full-service acute care facility with 450 physicians and more than 900 staff members.
