Capstone Names Manufacturing VP

Capstone Turbine Corp. has named Paul Chase as its new vice president of manufacturing, the company announced Tuesday. In that role for the Chatsworth manufacturer of microturbines, Chase will head up the manufacturing operations, overseeing the functions of quality and facilities. Prior to joining Capstone, Chase had been director of nuclear quality assurance for Ruhrpumpen Inc. Industrias E.G., S.A. de C.V, a manufacturer of centrifugal pumps based near Monterrey, Mexico. Capstone Chief Executive Darren Jamison said the company will look to Chase to implement process improvements, lean manufacturing and improved business performance. “He brings a wealth of experience and a vision which will build upon the progress we’ve made toward optimizing our manufacturing operations and delivering a consistent customer experience across multiple product lines,” Jamison said in a prepared statement. Capstone shares closed down 7 cents, or 4.3 percent, to $1.57 on the Nasdaq.
