Avita Medical Ltd. announced Monday that it has appointed Troy Barring as its chief operating officer. The Cambridge, England-based medical company develops and distributes ReCell, a skin treatment. Barring will work out of the company’s Northridge office and will help implement its $53.9 million contract with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, the federal agency responsible for disaster preparedness. The company also announced Ross Saunders as its vice president of sales and marketing, who will be based in the United Kingdom. “We are very excited to have these two gentlemen aboard for the journey,” Chief Executive Adam Kelliher said in a statement. “Troy and Ross bring strong experience in the medical device and wound care areas, most notably the disciplines and systems that have proven to succeed with similarly transformative breakthrough products as ours.”
