Ixia Expands Sales Into the Middle East, Africa

Ixia has signed a deal with technology consultancy StarLink to make its security and network visibility products available in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa. Terms of the deal between Ixia, a computer network performance and security software developer based in Calabasas, and StarLink, based in Dubai, were not disclosed. Mark Chaplain, vice president of sales for Ixia in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, said that by partnering with StarLink, Ixia shows its continued commitment to efficient, cost-effective and timely delivery of its products on a global basis. “By stocking Ixia solutions, StarLink can rapidly provide channel partners comprehensive solutions that will help grow their revenue while bringing immediate benefits to customers,” Chaplain said in a prepared statement. Shares closed up 5 cents, or a fraction of a percent, to $14.85 on the Nasdaq.
