SunBrite TV Sold to SnapAV

Outdoor television and digital signage manufacturer SunBriteTV has been sold to SnapAV, a manufacturer and distributor of audio and video products. The Thousand Oaks company was acquired by SnapAV from Bunker Hill Capital, a private equity investor in Boston for an undisclosed price. SnapAV, in Charlotte, N.C., is part of the investment portfolio of General Atlantic LLC, a New York growth equity firm. SunBriteTV produces high-definition televisions ranging from a 32-inch screen model to a 65-inch screen version, all designed to be watched outdoors on a deck, patio or balcony. All parts are sourced from U.S. suppliers with the exception of the glass panel that comes from Asia. The logic boards, speakers and speaker boxes are all custom-made. In addition to residential sales, SunBriteTV screens are also used at sports stadiums, including Yankee Stadium, Gillette Stadium, Wrigley Field and Soldier Field. Intrepid Investment Bankers LLC, in Los Angeles, represented Bunker Hill in the transaction. “We appreciate the opportunity to represent Bunker Hill and SunBriteTV in this important process, and we believe SunBriteTV is poised for transformational growth under the ownership of SnapAV,” Gary Rabishaw, managing director of the consumer and electronics practice at Intrepid, said in a prepared statement.
