Caesarstone, a manufacturer of quartz-surface kitchen countertops and bathroom vanities, has leased 21,500 square feet in the Northridge Business Park in Chatsworth, where it intends to relocate its corporate headquarters in March.
The company is currently headquartered at 6840 Hayvenhurst Ave in Van Nuys, but its lease is expiring there and it needed room to accommodate growth, said Scott Caswell, a broker with Delphi Business Properties Inc. He handled the $3.5 million lease transaction for Caesarstone and landlord Watt Development LLC, of Wise, Va.
The new headquarters, at 9255 Corbin Ave., will undergo a renovation to be completed by Westlake Village architectural firm Kamus + Keller. A new façade, interior showroom and corporate offices will feature exposed vaulted ceilings, skylights, polished floors and “a look often found in corporate facilities located in Santa Monica and Silicon Valley,” Caswell said.
Caesarstone plans to occupy half the building’s total square footage with the balance of the space – about 21,500 square feet – available for a built-to-suit commercial or industrial tenant.
Caesarstone has 70 corporate employees and more than a dozen satellite offices around the country. With two production facilities, the firm has the capacity to produce more than 20 million square feet of quartz-surface products annually.
