Anthem Blue Cross in Thousand Oaks has announced a strategic relationship with Castlight Health Inc., an enterprise health care management company based in San Francisco. The alliance aims to help employers and employees lower health costs and streamline benefits decision-making. Under terms of the agreement, Anthem customers in California will be granted access to Castlight’s support tools geared at helping customers better evaluate cost and quality. In addition, the companies will both market Castlight’s premium enterprise health care management solutions. “Anthem Blue Cross is committed to delivering innovative technologies for our members,” said President of Anthem Blue Cross Brian Ternan. “This relationship will give our members more support than ever by providing easy to understand health care cost and quality information, which can help drive employee engagement, lower costs and lead to more satisfaction with health care benefits overall.” Anthem Blue Cross is a unit of Indianapolis-based Anthem Inc.
