Interlink Electronics Inc. has appointed Tracy Kern as its chief financial officer.

Kern comes to the Westlake Village manufacturer after serving as corporate controller for Vitesse Semiconductor Corp., in Camarillo, and as chief financial officer for Chad Therapeutics, a medical device company formerly in Chatsworth.

Interlink Chief Executive Steve Bronson said that part of Kern’s goals will be to get the company’s shares relisted on a national market.

“Tracy brings significant financial and operational expertise, and is an instrumental addition to Interlink’s long-term growth strategy,” Bronson said in a prepared statement.

Interlink makes touchpads and computer-mouse products for rugged environments, such as oil refineries, automobile assembly lines and machine shops. It also serves the medical-device market.
