A veteran aerospace executive has been named chief executive of Align Aerospace Holdings Inc., the company announced Thursday. Andrew C. Roberts will head up the Chatsworth firm, one of the world’s largest distributors of aerospace parts and components. He replaces Richard C. Organ, who assumed the position just over two years ago. Prior to joining Align, Roberts was president and chief executive with Permaswage USA, a Gardena supplier of fluid-fittings for the aerospace and defense industries; Northwest Airlines Corp.; and Aeroxchange Ltd., a commercial airline supply-chain services firm in Irving, Texas. Roberts said he was eager to assume the position. “Align Aerospace is a strong competitor in the hardware distribution marketplace and has the potential to grow its market share significantly by investing in product and capabilities and focusing on superior execution to meet the demanding needs of our customers,” Roberts said in a prepared statement. Organ became chief executive of Align following its August 2011 sale to Greenbriar Private Equity Group LLC of Rye, N.Y. from Anixter International Inc., a publicly traded company based in Glenview, Ill.
