Valley Presbyterian Diversifies Board

Valley Presbyterian Hospital has announced the appointment of five new board members – including Cal State Northridge President Dianne Harrison – in an effort to diversity its leadership. The non-profit hospital in Van Nuys, which is independently owned, has 350 beds, making it one of the largest acute-care facilities in the Valley. “Each of these board members offers a diverse perspective and expertise from their work and service in the San Fernando Valley,” said Chief Executive Gustavo Valdespino, in a statement released late Monday afternoon. The board members in addition to Harrison are: David Adelman, a partner at the law firm Greenberg & Bass LLP who serves on the board of the Valley Economic Alliance. Dr. Diego Mechoso , the medical director of pediatrics at Valley Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Todd Moldawer, a hospital physician and orthopedic surgeon at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. Francisco Uribe, director of government relations for Home Depot Inc. and a member of the board of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and other organizations.
