Superior Names Stebbins CEO

A veteran auto industry executive has been named the new chief executive of aluminum wheel manufacturer Superior Industries International Inc. Donald Stebbins will assume the top job on May 5 at the Van Nuys company. He also joins Superior’s board of directors. Stebbins replaces Steven Borick who retired as chief executive on March 31. Borick’s father Louis founded Superior in 1957. Stebbins previously served as chairman and chief executive of Visteon Corp., an auto components manufacturer in Van Buren Township, Mich. He also worked as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Lear Corp., a supplier of seats and electrical systems for automakers, based in Southfield, Mich. “I proudly look forward to leading the company and its outstanding team, as it continues to demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism, product excellence and customer service,” Stebbins said in a prepared statement. Shares closed up 30 cents, or 1.4 percent, to $21.14 on the Nasdaq.
