Ryland Opens Indiana Development

Ryland Group Inc. has opened a new residential development in Indiana. The Silverleaf community in the community of Fishers features homes up to four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms and 3,434 square-feet of living space. The Silverleaf announcement comes three days after Ryland announced the opening of its Estate Collection at Cobblestone in Greenwood, Ind. Last month, Ryland it acquired the assets of Cornell Homes, a Philadelphia home builder, the fourth acquisition the company has made in the last year. It acquired Texas developer LionsGate Homes in May, Trend Homes in Phoenix in December and Timberstone Homes’ operations in Charlotte and Raleigh, N.C. last July. Shares closed down $1.98, or 5.4 percent, Friday to close at $34.86 on the New York Stock Exchange.
