Local aerospace supplier Ontic has signed a licensing agreement with Curtiss-Wright Controls Integrated Sensing to supply parts for cockpit controls used on commercial, business and military aircraft.
Chatsworth-based Ontic will distribute the parts from facilities in the San Fernando Valley and Cheltenham, in the United Kingdom. Curtiss-Wright Controls is based in Charlotte, N.C.
Ontic will supply landing gear levers, pilot LED checklists, flight control surface indicators, and push-to-talk switches for aircraft made by Boeing Co., Cessna Aircraft Co., Bombardier Inc, and Lockheed Martin
The licensing agreement with Curtiss-Wright will allow Ontic to add to its growing electronic and electro-mechanical product line portfolios, said Ontic President Gareth Hall.
“Serving (original equipment manufacturers) like Curtiss-Wright by supporting their mature, legacy or non-core products and providing lifetime support to customers is Ontic’s sole focus,” said Hall in a prepared statement.
Ontic is a subsidiary of BBA Aviation plc, a publicly traded company headquartered in London.
