Warner Bros. has shuffled its top management in what it calls a
“strategic realignment” prompted by the “digital revolution” in media and entertainment.
The steps taken by the Burbank studio tap into the expertise and experience of a number of longstanding executives, said Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara.
“The digital revolution continues to change every aspect of the way we do business, and this strategic realignment will help us address those changes to better deliver our world-class content to the widest array of consumers across the globe,” Tsujihara said in a statement.
Under the realignment, Peter Roth adds the title of president and chief content office, Warner Bros. Television Group, in addition to responsibilities as president of Warner Bros. Television, Warner Horizon Television and Animation.
Craig Hunegs will serve as president, business and strategy of Warner Bros. Television Group, and joins the board of CW Network, the joint venture of Warner Bros., CBS, and Shed Media, a London-based television content creator in which Warner Bros. is a majority shareholder.
Jeffrey Schlesinger will serve as president, Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution with the responsibilities for distribution of content to all television platforms worldwide.
Thomas Gewecke has been named chief digital officer and executive vice president, strategy and business development for Warner Bros. Entertainment. He will develop worldwide digital growth, manage global business strategy and oversee several operations.
Ron Sanders takes on the new role of president, Warner Bros. Worldwide Home Entertainment Distribution which includes overseeing content for electronic distribution and video on demand, and distribution for games created by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
Diane Nelson adds responsibilities as president and chief content officer for Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment in addition to duties as president of DC Entertainment.
