Teledyne Completes Nova Acquisition

A subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Inc. has taken over full ownership of Nova Research Inc., a Santa Barbara County infrared-camera manufacturer. Teledyne Scientific & Imaging LLC initially bought a majority stake in Nova in March 2011 and acquired the remaining shares on July 8. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Teledyne Scientific is a subsidiary of Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies. Nova Research, headquartered in the small town of Buellton, was one of three acquisitions Teledyne made in early 2011 to boost its offerings of infrared-imaging systems for both commercial and tactical military operations. Teledyne shares closed up 45 cents, or less than 1 percent, to $80.06 on the New York Stock Exchange.
