Tutor Perini Wins $116 Million Highway Contract

Tutor Perini Corp. has won a $116 million contract for work on the Interstate 35 freeway in St. Paul, Minn. The Sylmar construction firm will update two freeway interchanges, add an additional interchange and reconstruct a two-mile eastbound segment of the interstate. The paving project involves grading, building retaining walls and 11 bridges, and adding utilities and signage. The project is expected to begin this month with completion in October 2015. Tutor Perini is a diversified civil engineering and construction company firm that works on public and private projects. The company reported revenue of $4.1 billion in 2011. Shares of Tutor Perini gained 3 cents, or less than 1 percent, to close at $13.99 on the New York Stock Exchange.
