Apparel brand licensing company Cherokee Inc. announced it will pay shareholders a quarterly dividend of 10 cents a share.
The Van Nuys company will pay the dividend to shareholders of record as of March 1. It will be payable on or about Mar. 15.
Since 1996, Cherokee has paid out about $224 million in dividends, the company said.
The dividend was announced just days after the company said it was repurchasing its school uniform line from Strategic Partners Inc. of Chatsworth and entering into a partnership with former Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio on a new line of female clothing.
Shares of Cherokee lost 13 cents, or 1 percent, to close at $13.94 on the Nasdaq.
