Teledyne Completes Nebraska Acquisition

Teledyne Instruments Inc. closed on Friday its acquisition of a Nebraska company that makes automated laboratory equipment. Terms of the deal between Teledyne Instruments, in City of Industry, and CETAC Technologies, in Omaha, were not disclosed. Teledyne Instruments is a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies in Thousand Oaks. Teledyne Technologies Chief Executive Robert Mehrabian said CETAC equipment is used for elemental and chemical analysis and fits well with Teledyne’s environmental-instrumentation product line. Teledyne Technologies is a manufacturer of instrumentation and digital-imaging products in the aerospace, defense electronics, oil and gas, and other industries. It has completed several other acquisitions this year. Shares lost $1.42, or nearly 2 percent, to close at $77.17 on the New York Stock Exchange.
