Camarillo aerospace logistics company Merex Holding Corp. has acquired ALCO Services Inc., a provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for older aircraft. Financial details of the deal announced Thursday between Merex and ALCO, headquartered in Livermore, Calif., were not disclosed. Private equity firm Dubin Clark & Co. of Greenwich, Conn, partnered with Merex in the acquisition. Merex Chief Executive Andy Shams said the acquisition will allow it to better serve international customers. “ALCO’s high-quality (maintenance and repair) services and technical expertise make them a great addition to the Merex team and an important element of our growth strategy,” said Shams, in a prepared statement. ALCO supports legacy military aircraft including the Lockheed Martin C-130 transport plane, and the Boeing F-18 fighter jet, and commercial aircraft including Boeing’s 737, 757 and 767. Merex provides spare parts and components, and repair and overhaul services for aging aircraft operated by more than 35 armed forces worldwide.
