Westlake Village-based GlobalWide Media announced last week that it acquired Canadian online marketing company Neverblue and AKMG in a deal worth $40 million in cash.

Neverblue will continue to operate under its own name, while AKMG will now operate under the GlobalWide Media name.

"We are delighted to formally welcome the Neverblue team, as their footprint into international markets together with their expertise and scale in mobile advertising complements our strengths in becoming the premier 'One-stop' solution for advertisers and publishers," said Farshad Fardad, CEO of GlobalWide Media. "Our ultimate goal is to deliver highly targeted profitable customers to our advertisers while broadening the availability of additional branded campaigns to our publishing partners."

GlobalWide Media is a performance-based online affiliate marketing and internet technology company that connects advertisers with targeted consumer audiences.

"We are thrilled to be joining the GlobalWide Media family. Our combined expertise and broad portfolio of digital marketing services will catapult us to the industry leader in the digital marketing space," said Eric Gerritsen, vice president of sales and business development at Neverblue.
