Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. has entered into a content distribution partnership with Alloy Digital, the New York owner of the YouTube comedy channels ClevverTV and Smosh.

Cinedigm, a distributor of digital movies and other content to theaters and cable systems, will distribute videos from Alloy Digital’s channels to multiple outlets, including video-on-demand systems. It also will distribute the content on DVDs and Blu-ray discs.

In the first phase of the partnership, Smosh and ClevverTV will produce a series of specials for the 12- to 34-year-old audience. Also, the companies plan to develop content specifically for movie theaters.

Cinedigm operates its software division in Woodland Hills and is headquartered in Century City.

Shares of the company gained 2 cents, or 3 percent, to close Friday at $1.51on the Nasdaq.
