A subsidiary of Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies Inc. that serves the marine market has acquired a Seattle company that makes acoustic imaging and measurement devices. The terms of the deal between Teledyne RD Instruments Inc. and BlueView Technologies were not disclosed. The addition of BlueView brings to the Teledyne marine group novel technology and products used in harsh underwater environments, said Teledyne Chairman, President and CEO Robert Mehrabian. “BlueView’s imaging sonars and microbathymetry systems further increase Teledyne’s instrumentation content on (automated and remotely operated underwater vehicles) used in oil and gas and marine survey applications,” Mehrabian said in a prepared statement.
