VEDC Opens Second Valley BusinessSource Center

The Valley Economic Development Center is opening a new business source center in the west San Fernando Valley for business attraction and retention. The center on Sherman Way in Reseda is the second for the Valley operated by the VEDC as part of a program of the City of Los Angeles BusinessSource program. The nonprofit agency will offer its entrepreneurial training program and specific courses for business owners, including financial planning, formulating a business plan, marketing and establishing a business. “We look forward to helping local businesses with training, consulting, and access to capital to becoming partners in their efforts in the community and helping them to reach their growth and sustainability objectives to ultimately create more jobs in their communities,” Bob Holguin, VEDC’s director of business services, said in a prepared statement. The VEDC also operates a BusinessSource Center in Pacoima. A grand opening for the Reseda center takes place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, May 31 at 18645 Sherman Way, Suite 114. Mark R. Madler
