Ixia to Acquire Anue Systems for $145 Million

Seeking to benefit from growing business of cloud computing, Calabasas-based Ixia—a provider of test systems for Internet Protocol (IP) and wireless networks—has agreed to acquire Anue Systems Inc. for $145 million. With the deal, which is expected to close in the second quarter, Ixia said it gains a large presence in the network visibility market, which is geared toward testing applications already up and running on the cloud and in data centers. “Next-generation cloud providers, mobility operators and enterprises all require network and traffic visibility to maintain quality of service across application and service delivery,” Ixia COO Vic Alston said in a statement. In a news release announcing the acquisition, Ixia said the network visibility market is growing more than 30 percent per year. Ixia’s stock closed down 11 cents to $11.79. Andrew Khouri
