New CEO to Lead Sherman Oaks and Encino Hospitals

Bockhi Park has been appointed as the new CEO of Sherman Oaks Hospital and Encino Hospital Medical Center, the hospital’s parent company, Prime Healthcare, said July 26. Park replaces Robert Bills, who was appointed to the position in 2010. Before the post, Bills served as CEO at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys for more than 24 years. Park will provide day-to-day operational leadership for the hospitals and interact with community stakeholders, said Michael Sarian, president of hospital operations for Prime Healthcare Services, in a written release. “Prime Healthcare Services has provided me with an amazing opportunity to continue the legacy of Sherman Oaks Hospital and Encino Hospital Medical Center,” Park said in a written statement. “With the turmoil in today’s healthcare system and the shortage of emergency room beds, these two hospitals play a vital role in the well-being of the residents of the San Fernando Valley. I look forward to continue to build upon its success with the assistance of the physicians, staff and members of the community.” Park comes to the position from Medical Practice Management & Consulting Services in Van Nuys where she served as president since 2011. Prior to that, Park worked at Sherman Oaks Hospital for over 27 years in a variety of positions, including serving as chief operating officer before leaving to work at MPMC. Leah Gillis
