Glendale tech company Everbridge Inc. announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Beijing software engineering firm Hypersun Group Ltd. Everbridge, which provides mobile mass-notification services, interactive maps and digital-feedback products, said Hypersun’s 35 employees will boost the company’s technical abilities. “Ultimately, the acquisition provides Everbridge with a deeper bench of engineering expertise, which allows us to innovate at a faster pace and add additional resources for global-client support in the most cost-effective manner,” said Chief Executive Jaime Ellerston, in a prepared statement. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Everbridge has worked with health care companies, colleges, and state and local municipalities. In January it was chosen to revamp Ventura County’s emergency services notifications. The company, which opened a U.K. office on Oct. 15, did not indicate whether the acquisition will lead to a push in Asia.
