Princess Cruises Launches Small-Ship Sailing in the Caribbean

Princess Cruises announced yesterday a new Caribbean cruise aboard its small ship, Pacific Princess. The 10-day trip will feature calls at the boutique ports of Tortola and St. Barthelemy. Sailing from January 17 to 27, 2013, the Eastern Caribbean voyage will include full-day calls in Antigua, St. Lucia and St. Kitts. A late evening departure will permit more time on the island. “Because Pacific Princess travels the globe, we rarely have the opportunity to offer a Caribbean cruise on this popular small ship,” said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises executive vice president, in a prepared statement. “But because we’re rescheduling the ship’s dry dock, we now have a wonderful chance to offer this unique one-time itinerary option before she takes off on her yearly world cruise.” Carrying only 680 passengers, the ship offers an intimate cruise experience with specialty dining at Sabatini’s and Sterling Steakhouse restaurants.
