Bayless Engineering & Manufacturing has been named as one of the top metal forming and fabricating companies in the U.S. by an industry trade publication.
Santa Clarita-based Bayless tied for No. 27 on the FAB 40 rankings as compiled by “The Fabricator,” the publication of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association.
The recognition and the company’s ranking came as a surprise, said Bayless Engineering founder and President Earl Bayless.
“In reviewing the list of companies named in this year’s Fab 40, I realized how impressive it is for Bayless to be in such distinguished company,” Bayless said in a prepared statement.
Bayless’ spot in the rankings was based on its 2011 revenue of $15 million and projected revenue of $20 million in 2012.
This year, the company invested $2 million in new equipment - a 4,000 watt fiber optic laser cell, two computer numerical control press brakes, and a large part robotic welder.
